Elena Bolonina, a Junior Associate Attorney with the Vethan law firm, is a graduate of South Texas College of Law Houston. Prior to law school, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Russian State University for the Humanities with Major in Sociology and Minor in Marketing. Elena is a Certified Mediator and fully bilingual in English and Russian.
While in law school, she had worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Lewinbuk and took an active role in researching and editing the second edition of the course book titled “Connecting Ethics & Practice: A Lawyer’s Guide to Professional Responsibility” (Wolters Kluwer 2019) and has been mentioned in its acknowledgements.
Elena co-authored articles published in the second edition of the course book and St. Mary’s Law Review Symposium on Legal Malpractice & Ethics.She was awarded an AIPN Scholarship for 2019-2020 and TYLA Diversity Scholarship first place award in 2018.Furthermore, Elena gained immigration and personal injury experience while clerking during law school.
At the firm, Elena works on a variety of commercial litigation matters, including partnership disputes, breach of contract and tort claims, and intellectual property matters, as well transactional matters and appellate briefs. As a business owner in the past, Elena knows how to cater to her clients’ needs with creative solutions.
